                         Minority Report analysis

The first shot I have to analyse is a medium close up. This is easily shown since you can only see        the characters head and shoulders. This shot allows the audience to see the characters facial expressions and what they're going to do next. This happened after Tom Cruise realised the armed police officers were after him.

This is a long shot. The long shot provides an extended view of whereabouts the scene would take      place. The scene shows an old car as the focus with back buildings behind it. We also see the character that Tom Cruise is playing at the far corner.

This is a medium close up since the character's head and shoulders are still visible. This shot also helps tell the audience the character's facial expression and has an emotional connection.

                                              Mr Halsey's Feedback:

WWW: What a fantastic start to Media – I really enjoyed reading your blog! Your fruit bowl is  stunning and the selection of camera shots and angles for the photo storyboard well chosen. I  particularly like the high angle shot to make the victim look weak!

EBI: The clear area to develop over the next year is your written Media analysis. Over time you’ll  have to be writing in much more detailed paragraphs that offer a lot more depth of analysis. This  means exploring the different possible interpretations that audiences may take from a media product  such as a film poster.

LR: Reflect on your first month of Media. What do you feel is your strongest piece of work so far?  What is your weakest? What specific skills or knowledge do you need to develop over the rest of the  course?

LR: I think my strongest piece of work in media was the fruit bowl I edited and my weakest was the film poster analysis. I think I need to develop analysing work and naming different type of shots.

                                             Our Camera Shots & Angles

We chose to use a wide shot to show the audience where about the scene/story would take place.
This was also used to introduce the location.

We also used an over the shoulder shot to show the bully approaching the victim. This shot is usually used for conversations but in this shot we used it to show suspense.

Here we used another over the shoulder shot to show the bully facing the victim and making eye contact which created suspense for the audience. This was also taken from a high angle to make the victim look weak.

In this shot we used a medium close up to show how he bully is acting aggressive towards the victim. The victim here also looks frightened and worried.

Then we used another wide/establishing shot to show the setting and to see another student reach out her arm and try to stop the fight between the bully and the victim.

We used a medium shot and a high angle to show the student help the victim up. This was also used to make the victim look small and helpless.

In this shot we used a big close up and a quite a low angle of the victim to show his emotion after the incident and show his emotional connection with the audience.

4. The last tv programme i've watched was Hollyoaks.

5. I think Hollyoaks appealed to an audience because of it's amazing storylines and how they leave the audienece wanting more after the cliff-hangers.

6. I've used my phone.

7. I either use my phone or the computer.

8. Watched.

9. That all the characters have different roles to play such as Sherlock who's serious and staright foward with things and the girl who obviously likes sherlock and tries to impress him.

10. I think the audience will like how it ends in a cliff hanger and how it does not give too much information of each character making them want more.
